iDesign’s climate literacy initiative for children. Children learn through our climate comics and workshops.
Teach Your Parents (TYP) is iDesign’s climate literacy initiative for children. Kids learn through our climate comics, animations and workshops, then paint what they’ve absorbed- culminating in a formal art gallery show. It is offered free to schools and students as part of our CSR mission.
The project has been featured extensively in the media. The Globe and Mail featured our team as “Canadians making a difference” in Globe Climate. CBC’s interview with iDesign’s co-founder and artist Sanjay Sundram is below.
In TYP’s 2022-23 edition, over 750 students across Canada and India took part. The program culminated in a month-long public exhibition at the Trinity Art Gallery in Ottawa, with school awards celebrating young climate voices.
We are excited to launch the 2025 edition of Teach Your Parents. This year’s program will wrap up with a final exhibition at Arnprior District Museum in Canada. If you're a student, teacher, parent, or school interested in participating, write to us for more details.
